PHP's Single Mothers Seminar ABC4 Spotlight

"SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Good Things Utah) – An upcoming job fair and seminar will be geared for single mothers. Kaylee Hepburn and Heidi Tucker with ‘People Helping People’ is a local non-profit that works primarily with single mothers and low-income women in our community helping them reach self-sufficiency through successful employment.

The organization focuses on embodying the mindset of a primary earner and overcoming personal and professional barriers. The free program is taught from the employers’ perspective which prepares our clients to be better equipped to navigate the workplace and increase their earning potential. New clients can start the program anytime and they are always looking for volunteers to coach and mentor the women in our program.      

The Single Mothers Seminar and Job Fair is scheduled March 27th from 5-7PM at the Sorenson Community Campus. You can pre-register for the event at phputah.org/job-fair

Anyone 18+ and older looking for a job or a better job, BOTH men and women. This event is held twice a year, Spring and Fall, showcasing 20 or more employers, both local and national, along with community resource partners of PHP that help support successful employment and building careers. Anyone looking for a job or a better job is encouraged to attend. The organization says this is an opportunity to interact face to face with top recruiters from several of the participating employers, practice your interview skills, and learn about new career paths.

A virtual Employment Seminar will be offered the same day at 12PM discussing recruiting trends. Attending both the employment seminar and the job fair will enter you into an opportunity drawing to win an iPad!"
