"PHP presents an opportunity to help others navigate a complex, confusing, and intimidating professional world. I enjoy helping people who are unsure where they are going or how to get there. I am inspired when I see these ladies trying to improve their lives. We all strive for something better. PHP provides the platform for that improvement. One of my favorite poems is Longfellow’s: ‘The heights by great [people] reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.’ I picture these ladies striving, day and night, to reach a higher plane. This inspires me to try harder.”

Coaching and Mentoring
People Helping People volunteers represent different industries, backgrounds, and lived experiences. Volunteers work 1-1 as coaches and mentors helping our clients build their professional network, recognize their transferrable skills, understand their personal financial breakeven, build great resumes, and polish their interview skills.

Employer Meet & Greets
Every month, People Helping People hosts an Employer Meet and Greet where job seekers can hear directly from hiring managers and HR professionals about current and upcoming job opportunities. These events offer a chance to connect one-on-one with recruiters, learn about current employment trends, and access valuable community resources.

Single Mothers Seminar
Job Fair
Every spring and fall, People Helping People hosts the Single Mothers Seminar (SMS), a unique job fair and resource event designed to support job seekers in their path towards employment success.

These in-person events provide an opportunity for clients and job seekers to interact face to face with top recruiters representing companies who are champions of women in the workplace.
Each seminar includes a keynote speaker or panel of business professionals who share real-world insights on career development, advancement, and overcoming barriers to success.
